Target Group / Admission Requirements

The certification program is open to successful graduates of the advanced training program (2nd cohort) in Sexocorporel who meet the following criteria:

  • Ongoing sexological counseling practice with clients
  • Advanced or completed counseling or therapeutic education or training
  • Ability to integrate video recordings (mobile phone or camera) of counseling sessions into group supervision

Admission to the certification program is decided after an interview with the training directors of the institute where candidates completed the advanced training.

For graduates of Sexocorporel master’s programs, simplified admission requirements apply (by individual agreement).

Duration of the Certification Program
6 seminars of 4 days each (27 hours per seminar), distributed over 1.5 years

Program Leadership
Two seminars each are conducted by:

  • Institute for Embodiment and Sexology IfES
  • Austrian Institute for Sex Education and Sexual Therapy ISP
  • Zurich Institute for Clinical Sexology and Sexual Therapy ZISS

Certification
All successful graduates of the certification program receive a certificate. A minimum attendance of 90% of seminar time is required.

To obtain certification, participants must demonstrate the ability to convey knowledge and concrete learning steps in a well-founded manner, as well as to respond to clients in an empathic, professional, and self-reflective way. This is demonstrated, among other things, through:

  • a written case study submission (minimum 10 sessions or completed case)
  • an in-depth case supervision including video recording

For the acquisition of the title “Clinical Sexologist iSi”, additional criteria must be met (see here).

The two seminars led by ZISS are certified by the Baden-Württemberg Medical Association with 37 continuing education points per seminar.
